An accidental compilation that was born whilst I setup my bedroom studio...I found that I created a space where I could sit in my own personal textured cocoon for many days.

5 months later, my mind and heart had become a medley of hindustani classical, glitch, dub techno, ambient drones and jazz. I found myself stumbling across moments in awe, where my mind felt captivated by the high frequencies scissoring the lower timbre of my voice. It sounded good to me, and I’m not sure what exactly it is...

but it feels like there is something here I can spend my whole life exploring.

To me, this is the beginning of a romance I find myself falling into headfirst, without control or hesitation. So much that I find myself restructuring some of my previous life, in the distant hope that one day I will sit in the studio without care what the world is up to or wants from me.

This is for the old and new gurus I’ve had for a while, some of whom I might never have met, but who strongly flavor what I find interesting in my own artistic form. Each track is dedicated to a different influencer in my work.

I’ve always wondered what making art is like for all these artists who have touched me.

I wonder if it feels the same.

os | ओस brings out the vibrancy of hindustani music in modern electronica. She grew up in Delhi, studying hindustani classical as a vocalist.

She uses semi-modular analog synthesizers, drum machines, DAWs and her voice to craft a lush interplay between hindustani music and ambient textures, with a heavy emphasis on distorted rhythm and disorienting glitch.

ओस (os) means dewdrop in Hindi.
